The Costa Palmas Legal Information Center has been created to provide factual information, primary source documents and explanatory material relating to the Costa Palmas development and certain legal proceedings involving Legacy Owners—the early investors who purchased residential property when the development was originally established as Cabo Riviera, prior to its acquisition and redevelopment in 2014. While the principal focus of the website is the governance and legal proceedings involving Legacy Owners, it also includes information about other legal actions and proceedings that may assist readers in understanding the broader history and legal context of the Costa Palmas development. The website is intended to assist journalists, property owners, prospective purchasers, legal professionals, researchers and other interested readers.
Original court documents, together with English summaries or translations where available, are published in the Document Library. Where possible, readers are encouraged to consult the original documents in addition to the explanatory material provided throughout the website.
The Legacy Owners are represented by Rosen Law Abogados, a Mexican law firm that has acted on behalf of certain Legacy Owners in the legal proceedings described on this website. Rosen Law has prepared a number of the legal memoranda and explanatory summaries published in the Document Library. These materials are intended to assist readers in understanding the legal issues raised in the proceedings and should be read together with the underlying court documents. Although documents prepared by Rosen Law are included on this website, the website itself is maintained independently and is intended to serve as an informational resource rather than a platform for legal advocacy.
